Grouse Grind 2008
Another go at the Grouse Grind, 14 months after the last climb. Let's see if we can't beat the record.
At the start: Time = 0 mins.
Trail's in good condition at the 1/4 mark. Time = 21 mins.
Going strong at half-way. Time = 37 mins (8 mins faster than last year) --- No Sweat!
But then the snow started.
By the 3/4 mark, things were getting messy. Time = 57 mins.
And then it only got messier and icier.

Mom won't believe this!
Yahoo! The top again. Time = 1 hour, 18 mins. Despite the snow, Isaac still shaved 5 mins off his time of last year. That's being 9 for you.
Here it is from Isaac's point of view.
A well-deserved hot chocolate

Kyoto Now!
While Canadian "representatives" got to work to derail climate change initiatives in Bali, I decided to take my Big Brother to a rally at the library downtown. My message is simple: KYOTO NOW!
Midway through the rally, after David Suzuki spoke, I got so fired up that I told Jeremy to send a text message to Stephen Harper with the words "Kyoto Now". So he did.
All that political activism game me an appetite. So we went to get tacos.
